In 1991, while testifying to Congress, information security expert Winn Schwartau correctly predicted the world we now take for granted, stating that the then newly adopted internet would become a place for financial fraud, bullying and political terrorism. To which some blowhard Congressman said "Mr. Schwartau, why would bad guys ever use the internet? Now 33 years later, Schwartau is back expressing both the positive attributes, as well as his very real concerns about the new immersive world of web3, VR, XR, and the adoption of the technologies that are right around the corner.
